Welcome to Michael Redman's Peace Corps / Niger page. This page is the hub (or dare I say... "Official Site"?) for information related to my Peace Corps experience in Niger , from January 2005 through March 2007 (Mike has since extended his stay for another year through March 2008). It is my hope to put in this space stories and updates about my experience, and what's going on in Niger during that time. As I will not have much access to the internet, my dad (Dave) will be the one putting the information up here. He will be the hub of information, so if you have any questions, or want to forward him portions of a letter or email to put up on the "News from Michael" section, you can email him at michael-peacecorps (at) redmanfamily (dot) net. Navigating the website is fairly simple, but here's an explanation of those links under the banner image on each page:
I hope you find this site helpful, and you enjoy what you find here. - Michael Redman, 30 November 2004 PS: Though I will be halfway across the world, I still want to be involved in all of your lives! Please send me a letter whenever you get the chance (even if it is to say "I don't have time to write" -- seriously). I will be starved for any shred of news from any of you, so if you can take a few minutes out of your day to think about me, I will be ecstatically grateful. Write me, and you'll be sure to receive a "gen-yoo-wine" letter from Africa in return!
Note: The country name "Niger" is pronounced as nee-ZHAIR' (like the "z" sound in "Zsa Zsa," as in Zsa Zsa Gabor)
